Jazz in New
York
Hi friends,
today I want to tell you about one of my plans, well…. this is something I
would like to do, but I have to wait a bit. I would like to know New York; this
city has a lot things interesting for me, but the main one is the jazz music. I
could listen and meet many musicians either in bars, schools or other places. On
the other hand, if I could also play with American musicians, my trip would be
even better. I remember to Erick, a musician from Indiana that I met in
Santiago playing jazz with Arena Quinteto. Erick is saxophonist and He could
play with me in New York, that would be great!
I know there
are some Chilean musicians living in this city, for example Melissa Aldana or
Felix Lecaros, they are jazz players and I could play with them too. I would
need time to rehearse and organize some presentations, I think my trip should
last at least two months. I don´t know how much money I would need for that but
in my opinion is important to do those things you wish to do.
Well, If you have dreams, you should fight for them until you reach them.
I want to know New York too, I'm not a jazz musician, I've never played jazz, but I want to see that world, that kind of bohemian ambient thay have in there, I don't really care about the classical music ambient in the States in general
